Emergency Supplies - Information

Your Emergency Preps are your tools to work with to help survive a situation.  You can only work as efficiently as the tools you have on hand. So you will want to know exactly what you have and how to use them.
It is no good to just buy a kit of this or that and think that you are prepared efficiently for an emergency, just to be let down by inferior products or ill-suited items which inadequately support your emergency needs, especially if you don't know how to use them.  Your emergency preps are put together by you so you must consider all areas based on the foundations of survival first and comfort second.  Learn how to use them, store them wisely and maintain them!

7 Ways to Use The Items Around You To Adapt and Survive

Comfort and Care in a Crisis

I need to be prepared for earthquakes, fires, and nuclear Armageddon. To be on the safe side, I also prepare for other disasters such as blizzards, pandemics, EMPs, and meteorites, all of which are capable of blasting our comfortable way of life to bits.

Battery Choice and Storage

Batteries are a big part of our lives. If SHTF batteries will be ok for a while but once they started to run out these little power houses of energy could be the down fall. Batteries are actually confusing little things, so many different sizes and types. I found a great article that explains the different types of batteries and goes over each one and tells you about charging them too.

I am lucky, I actually have a solar power battery charger which is relatively inexpensive. You can even make your own battery charger for around 5 bucks (search on my website for this project). Read the full article below and get great knowledge on this little very important commodity of prepping.

Have you ever considered how many things you come into contact with every day that use a battery?  How about the items that are in your various preparedness kits?
